Unbroken1 …although I slightly prefer the other track, Hydra is supposedly mixed in Dolby Atmos surround, can’t specifically notice the ‘3D’ quality, it does sound amazing loud on the big speakers Following on from his collaboration with Eric Horstmann´s Immersive Lab and Dolby Atmos for “Blisss”, “Hydra EP” has also been re-mastered for a multi-dimensional experience. Dolby Atmos technology expands on existing surround sound sound systems by adding height channels, allowing sounds to be interpreted as three-dimensional objects.
Kumquat Unbroken1 You have to listen through headphones for the 3D effect to be noticeable and it is barely noticeable even through headphones on Hydra. It’s not too bad on Pegasus though.
Unbroken1 Kumquat …ah OK, thought from the blurb that it was just the A-side that had the Atmos treatment. Pegasus is the one I’d most likely play… Both do sound terrific through headphones, but his productions rarely disappoint in that respect
