And as already pointed out, there’s a bit of Blue Monday going on here:
Ennio Morricone
Amps I found that out only around 6 months ago and was amazed that I hadn’t spotted it! It seems obvious now.
Fuckin love those films, have a Fistfull of Dynamite on the drive ready for a watching at the moment.
Always loved the ‘players’ aspect to these films. One of my faves:
lol @ never heard of Ennio Morricone.
RIP
Impossible to listen to this without some major chills.
His score was my favorite part of the film. It’s grown on me over time, and I love Kurt Russell, but the fucking thing needs editing. Way too long.
jonattonyeah yeah I agree with you there, mate. I’ve watched it 3 times and only seen the ending once

jonattonyeah Failed masterpiece, it’s fine as it is.
Apocalypse Now Redux will KILL you, it won’t just put you to sleep!
It’s true that the pace in the 70s and early 80s was completely different. People nowadays have problem watching Alien.

Yeah no issue with the Redux or Once upon a Time in America or Gangs of New York, all over 3 hrs thereabouts. Hateful Eight just got boring.
Amps LOL, I was honestly gonna post that - it was a long time before I ever so the end - always on about 10pm on a Sunday night on C4
LT42 The trick is to watch it once and make it to the very end.
Exactly. Don’t mind a long film, but not enough happens in TH8 to justify its length.
It’s shit.
The trick for me, after a very promising start I may add, was for it not to devolve into a pompous, self-indulgent and formulaic snoozefest.
