sbando Apocalypse Now Redux will KILL you, it won’t just put you to sleep! It’s true that the pace in the 70s and early 80s was completely different. People nowadays have problem watching Alien.
LT42 Yeah no issue with the Redux or Once upon a Time in America or Gangs of New York, all over 3 hrs thereabouts. Hateful Eight just got boring.
jonattonyeah LT42 Exactly. Don’t mind a long film, but not enough happens in TH8 to justify its length.
LT42 The trick for me, after a very promising start I may add, was for it not to devolve into a pompous, self-indulgent and formulaic snoozefest.
