It’s a shame the forum isn’t on archive.org. I’d love to go back and read some of the dross that got posted. There was some proper hilarious stuff that happened. Was the wild west. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy lol

I did post a rather emphatic detailed account about my first clubbing experience in their “on a serious note” forum when I was 16 and it helped me see there were good eggs who were excited to see how much this had impacted me, remembering their own first times. I would love to re-read it man I was in sixth form!

I tried posting there and got run out of town! That place was brutal even by GU standards.

Must admit I’ve come and gone with this board (since the GU Forum days). Often when I return to discuss music, I’m always in the mindset that it’s going to be met with some sarcastic, subculture bollocks in the replies.
But in all seriousness, was there actual posts recommending suicide and threatening violence towards him (even if not intended)? And the users who posted that dealt with by admin?
