RichM economically, both countries will want to avoid a full blown war because of a terrorist act and murder of 26. India at the cusp of growth and negotiating long term trade deals with the west, Pakistan market on very shakey waters and not being bias when I say they simply cannot afford one. Feels like a lot of hot air and both parties will want things to calm down within a month. But honestly, hard to tell with state sponsored terrorism, anything can happen. We’ve been surprisingly restrained given its the BJP in power.
Always amazes me how Pakistan get away with it. Mumbai attacks in 2008, harbouring Bin Laden for years in a military town no less, terrorists slaughtering pakistan military school kids in 2014 peshwar… terrorist hot bed and somehow they remain on great terms with the yanks.
