alistair I honestly can’t figure out what the Hundred is for. The ECB already has the Blast as its T20 format. Why fuck around with the format? @Along_the_Wire - you’re an ad-man. Is The Hundred somehow an easier sell than the Blast? Does it need to be different to be interesting?
I watched the Trent / Birmingham game a few days ago. When I first switched it on, it honestly took me a while to figure out the game data. Overs (!) bowled, score, run rate etc etc.
What’s a good run rate? I mean, for T20 you’d say ten, so what’s a good score every 5 balls?
Is this a case of, “Vinny, you’re an old fart - you wouldn’t recognise innovation if it humped your leg,” or, “Bang on Vinny. These ECB fuckwits haven’t a clue what they’re doing. Change for change’s sake.”
