Turn and bounce for the spinners and keeping low for the quicks.
Ideal.
Come on guys! Get a move on. Unlikely to get a better chance.
Wasting overs. FFS declare and get on the front foot
alistair i think they want 2 goes with the new ball - one tonight and one when its starts to reverse in the am. hilarious that the shite commentators are so affronted. they never captained in a test either of them!
This is going like a dream. Vintage reverse swing bowling by Anderson. Best in the world.
Stokes - he is a Hollywood cricketer !!
baggers44 1 more wicket for what has to be one of English crickets greatest test wins. Cap doffed to our bowlers. Leach had been written off in many quarters
Our spinners still have a lot to prove. Bess wasn’t very good really, was he?
We need another Swanny really. There’s a fella that can hold an end.
Along_the_Wire He got four wickets in the first innings including Kohli. Leach got four today. They did well

Agreed. I’d take Swann in his pomp over either Bess or Leach in a flash.
vinnyt77 sure, probably the only world class spinner we had. Still, the two lads have done well.
alistair Leach seems like a real confidence player. Be interesting to see how he performs at the same venue next time around. Bess just looks raw. The occasional pearler, but insufficiently consistent IMO for test match cricket in the sub continent. I’m sure they’ll both improve, and Bess looks to have a long England career in front of him - but neither are a match winner at the moment to my view.
Bess has got an awful Alf an all.
Root and Silverwood definitely made the right choice not making India follow on
As for Anderson’s 3-17. Masterclass
alistair Stunning piece of bowling. One of the smartest, and most skilful exhibitions of pace bowling I can remember seeing…
Up there with my 4 wickets in 4 balls against Brighton College in 1998 that got me into the Wisden Almanac.
All leg stump yorkers.
Smallman1 i will now definitely look that up - you might be in the index!
