As an experiment, I’d love to leave Southgate in the hotel for the final group match and let the players sort it out for themselves. I’d wager they’d play significantly better.

I know the commantary don’t like it, and it’s annoying, but I thought that was the correct decision. Even though the keeper wasn’t going to save that, the Dutch player is standing right next to him so it would be impossible for him to dive.

The blame there should rather go to Dumfries for being too lazy to get onside and out of the way earlier when he had the time.
