Also don’t think it was a pen for Scotland - Armstrong started holding the defender’s shirt before any other contact was made.

Even aside from that he then stuck his leg in front of the defender searching for more contact. He was trying to do a Gordon.

Lol, of course it does - he fouled the defender first by pulling him downwards by his shirt. That’s every bit more significant, if not worse, a level of contact than the minuscule brush of legs which occurred afterwards (and only happened because Armstrong dangled his leg out like a fishing rod searching for it).

There’s no need for it to go to VAR because the replays would have shown Armstrong evidently initiating the contact by pulling the defender down by his shirt.
