It wasn’t my dad who was the member of the tennis club (it was Dominic’s). I’m not sure if he even really bought the snooker table either - the previous owners of the house we bought had it, and because my dad was a keen snooker player anyway and it was understandably difficult to move, we got the previous owners to agree to it being kept there.
