Lot of right wing bias in the media, so don’t be fooled by too much of it.
I think they’re probably frontloading a lot of the bad stuff too. You wouldn’t want to be doing the pensioners down in four years time. It also might be in the context of greater taxes on wealthy companies in the coming months.
That said, they’re a bunch of Tories imo. I don’t see why they couldn’t have found that money somewhere else.
