There’s so much of this from serious commentators whether it’s the OBR, IFS or Ed Conway. Huge rise in borrowing but growth downgraded. Total shitshow from Rach in customer services who’s had ages to write this budget

Christ, Labour are in the door 5 minutes and Alistair is up on his high horse, marauding through the crowd complaining about £1 price hikes and various other non-runners. Comical stuff. Any Tory who voted wholeheartedly for Boris Johnson should be living under a rock right now and not surfacing for at least another 45 years.
I wonder if Al has bought Boris’s new book yet? Plenty of copies still available.
Labour boasted we would be the fastest growing economy in the G7 but the OBR forecasts the average family will be worse off over the course of the parliament as a direct result of this budget and that disposable incomes will fall. Total disasterclass. Anyway, I’ve got money to make!

The same political nonsense spouted by Govts the world over. You voted for a Party that railroaded the public for a generation to come in order to line their own pockets, which is all measurable by actual evidence as opposed to rhetoric, ole Ally. Stop embarrassing yourself. I bet the millions affected by the Brexit conjob are echoing your sentiments right now, all wagging their fingers at Starmer as they sell their overseas properties for a fraction of their value.
alistair So now the Tories believe the OBR?! LOL
alistair Having to sort out this shitshow isn’t going make anyone popular.
Having met Alistair I can confirm he’s a lot better online.
It’s a pity we sold off so much stuff to foreigners, if we still had a few of these we might be able to generate some income, rather than sending all the money out the country:
British Telecom
British Aerospace
Britoil
British Gas
British Steel
British Petroleum
British Airways
British Coal
British Rail
Royal mail
The National Grid
The National Water Authorities
Just as well you can’t put a price on banter, Amps.
I am going down the pub later to save my 1p
Have just been to the Coach & Horses in Soho.
Which is nice.
vinnyt77 Is that second pee after the 4th pint V?
The more I think about it the more we should just abolish NI. Put all personal income into a pot, be it dividends, self employed, capital gains, employed or anything else, tax it all at the same rate but have different tax bands (like we do now)/
the admin costs of dealing with NI are ridiculous.
