It didn’t work for Hillary and nothing he does will sway the republican base. To win, she needs to recruit more women and minority voters, while not losing racist/sexist blue collar men. Just to keep you up to speed - out of the 100M dollars raised in 2 days, 1.1 Million “Unique donors” gave money, 62% are first time donors, gold dust for the Dems. Also 58′000 have signed up to volunteer for her campaign in that time in battleground states. In 2 days. If these numbers are correct then that should have the Repubs extremely worried. Its tracking similar to that wave Obama had in 2008.
It seems the generalisation that “shes not liked” isn’t at play, at all. In a choice between her and the rapist it seems swing voters will decide the race.

LT42 I hope you’re right, I really do. Every election for the last 30 years has been decided by the number of democratic voters who show up to vote. The same number of republicans come out every 4 years, so that’s the difference. If she can pull more women and minorities than she loses blue collar men, she’s got a shot.
