Commercial mixed releases are generally shite. Why anyone buys or listens to them nowadays is beyond me when you have SoundCloud etc.
Fuck Spotify too, the thieving cunts.

Snr saw the writing on the wall and got out when all the money in the new music business had already been made.
What a ledge!
This thread is going well, Dave.

When was that then? ’Cos he would have trebled his money had he even bought Spotify stock 2 years ago.
Don’t think Eternal and Louise were shifting lots of vinyl SD but I hear ya brother, I hear ya!
Smallman1 CD singles then. 🤣
I wonder how much Papa Small took off me for the Eternal track I purchased for the Father’s of Sound mixes.
Smallman1 Louise was better at shifting copies of FHM and Loaded
Did someone say the weeds?!
alistair Louise was better at shifting copies of FHM and Loaded
That went into Snr’s pocket too!
NasserAlazzawi I was talking to Strudders about this a while back and his are done via proton so all the music in his mixes are from labels that use the service
I’ve tried to get stuff up there and failed
Ellen Allien and Sascha Funke’s watergate mixes aren’t too shabby.
You need a distributor to upload to streaming services, they don’t accept direct uploads. I use distrokid, but I’m not sure if most “diy” distributors will take mixes, there are likely copyright issues.
Something that I found out recently about Apple Music, and it may be the same for Spotify – it wont play tracks gapless unless they are actually downloaded to your phone, if the tracks are streamed theres an annoying glitch between tracks
nicksneddon All of Apple’s apps are shit so no surprise there.
No such problem with Tidal.
Homegrove I want to move away from Spotify, is Tidal any good? What’s coverage like for electronic music?
RichM I’ve been happy for a few years now. They also have master-audio for everyone now, it doesn’t cost any extra.
RichM Tidal is pretty decent for electronic music, past and present
