  • New Live In Stereo Montreal from Digweed.

Amps I think I’ve listened to them all once maybe? Never been hugely impressed with any of them.

Yeah, me too. I’ve bought a few over the years, listened to them a few times, then they just gathered dust. That music may have worked well in the club, but not for home listening.

I’ve listened to the first Montreal-mix through several times, all 10+ hours of it.

I’ve done the same with many John Talabot 7+ sets. A good build is fantastic for me. At least Digweed gets going three hours in.

Homegrove same here, it’s a fantastic set and the best of the Live In series. The first London mix prob 2nd best IMO

gcw yeah, feel the same way. The Fabric-one is probably my third favorite, and if I am not mistaken the only one besides Slovenia that’s the whole gig.

I was at the night in Fire and it was briliant albeit we were packed into the room like sardines. Listening back on the CD just doesn’t capture it. I’m sure its the same for all the releases. Amarali was great that night too.

The Fire night was absolutely fucking class.

Defo my favourite Live In mix too

Fire 2012 (I was there) and Montreal 2016 (I was not there) are both great mixes

Dry-Tinder same here, I bought the first few, then gave up and just streamed the mixes when they landed.

I was also at the Fire night.

          Unbelievable Jeff!

I was DJing at a mate’s 40th and missed it. Wasn’t HP, especially when the CD came out.

Cordoba and London for me. The rest are shit.

I finally got to the end of it the other day (I forgot I even owned it!), and its pretty good all round I think.

I think from half way it picks up and does build quite nicely.

There’s a few “padding” tunes, if you know what I mean, which don’t add anything, other than noise - so I can’t help wondering would the Live In series have worked better, if it was on less discs, meaning only the good tunes made the cut? Or is here more to compiling a mix album than I know? Very likely!

But I do think its one of the better ones, though I’d still prefer another Northern Exposurey or Renaissancey type of thing.

              Like GU?

Along_the_Wire …well maybe more than two discs, but perhaps not as many as 5, 6 or 9 - unless the tunes were more engaging for home/car/train listening.

That said, Slovenia was only two discs and I really don’t like that!
