Non-Homegroves, let’s have your recommendations. I enjoy watching television but don’t want to go wading through Marvel Universe and zombie shit to find something watchable. The ADULTS THREAD>

Top Boy Season 5 is the best thing I have watched recently.

bosstrabs that last season of top boy was truly shit. Some of the worst TV I’ve ever seen. That being said, everything leading up to it was brilliant.

Challengers is coming to Prime Video on the 19th, but Dave is probably too homophobic to enjoy one of the best movies of the year.

Halt & Catch Fire is a brilliant little-known series. About the initial IBM/computer revolution. Great character arcs, very well acted. Interesting story

This thread is already a disaster.

        Thanks Dave!

nicksneddon it’s been good for the cinema, it’s not been good for film making. @Amps is right to an extent about the volume of decent films coming through, it’s nothing like the 90s and 2000s

Friend and I were discussing terrible final seasons of shows, and Top Boy was up there with Dexter and GOT in being the absolute worst.

No surprise Dave led with it in this thread.

rhouses Nah, it wasn’t bad. I loved the ending, although like the Sopranos ending I understand why it split opinion.

Nothing has ever fallen off as hard as 30 Rock IMO - two excellent worthy award-winning and genuinely funny seasons to a constant procession of shit cameos and repeated/predictable jokes.

Narcos also - three excellent seasons then utter shit by the end (Mexico).

Oh and True Detective, about 6 excellent episodes in Season 1, then went to utter shit.

This actually looks alright, and Zendaya has been in ‘the bank’ for a while now.

            Justin’s House was the same
