bosstrabs Stop linking to the fuckin Mail, don’t give those cunts the steam off your piss!

Amps I boycott the Sun, but there would be a fair case for making a lot of media off-limits - where do you stop? (Sky and The Times - Murdoch, Express - owned by a pornographer, pro-Brexit, Daily Mail - tax exile-owned hate-filled rag, Telegraph - driving a hard Brexit agenda, I could go on and on…)

You’re pretty safe with Viz or Asian Babes I reckon.

bosstrabs I do my best to swerve the fuckin lot of it. Anything owned by Murdoch can double fuck off and throw itself in the sea. Mail and Express are just on another planet with their right wing nonsense, they can fuck off too. Didn’t even know the Telegraph still existed. Plenty of other places to get your news from.

Amps I normally read The Guardian, The Economist and The Independent.

But I don’t actively boycott anything but The Sun.

Amps I won’t even put Sky on. Fuck the cunt.

Not even for the beautiful game?

If I go the boozer to watch it I don’t have a lot of choice, but I don’t have Sky at home and never will.

            Amps
You can choose not to watch it in the boozer?

Go old school and get it on the wireless

Mad_Cyril I watch a lot of it on streams, but pre lockdown have been supporting a mate through tough times by going the pub with him for the games. Plus, I like a pint. But point taken.

As above, I don’t see how realistic media boycotts are. A lot of media outlets are pervasive and unavoidable unless you want to be a total hermit detached the world.

The Sun boycott has always been easy to observe, mind you, as I’m not a fuckwit with a mental age of 10 and therefore read no red-tops.

Mad_Cyril Almost certainly, although the borrowed, crumpled Escorts on top of the wardrobe were the ‘go-to’.

’Mum, you can clean my room but don’t touch the sports bag!'

bosstrabs The boycott of the Sun is probably about as successful a boycott of any media that I am aware of. And it’s now started to get traction in other cities too, lots of pressure started to be seen in Bristol of late. Such an easy choice to make these days, there are so many outlets.

bosstrabs ’Mum, you can clean my room but don’t touch the sports bag!'

                    Gold.

Sky is owned by Comcast/NBC now so no Murdoch connection though Jamie Carragher is still paid a salary by them so reasonably evil.

Nice colour those trabs she’s wearing. What would Miss Begum do for a living if she’s allowed back into the UK?

She’d probably make a decent presenter on BBC Top Gear.
