Top day, but boy am I paying for it now!
Group of 6 of us went and got there about 4.30pm. Was bastard hot, so we got upsold VIP tickets with the promise it would have more shade and not as crazy busy. Turned out to be £50 well spent as it was in a nice wooded bit at the back of the stage and the dancing bit by the stage was shady too.
I was blundering around talking gibberish to any poor sod who came within 5 meters of me . Met a crowd from Newcastle who came down, some bloke from Canterbury who used to got to the raves i put on back at Uni and Im sure I saw that Nicole girl from the US who always tends to be at these Sasha things. Didn’t manage to meet up with anyone from here, but given the state of us all probably wise !
Labyrinth do go to town with the production. The stage was nuts, with two massive mirror balls / video screens and the lighting was great. Also had some fantastic scran in the form of Cracked Chicken (?) …..sorted me right out for 10 mins or so before it all went downhill again.
Tracks wise a dub version of Its Going To Be a Lovely Day which id never heard before, plus Uncle John even dusted off Eric Clapton - Get Lost (Stereo Dub). Thought the music was good but walked away without any ear worms or massive tracks in my head. Just a solid good selection of tracks throughout the night.
One thing though……Diggers choice of strides. Shocking. Some sort of black ¾ baggy shorts, sort of things 90s US skateboarders wore . He was definitely going for comfort there. Nice and airy…..
