There were numerous other investors in Musk’s first company Zip2 - including Greg Kouri who invested $800k, and Mohr Davidow Ventures who invested $3mil.
It would have been highly unlikely that he could have hid from the other investors and business partners if his father had also secretly pumped millions in to the firm, and would have also been a strange business move given that he sold the majority stake in the company to Mohr Davidow Ventures when they invested for $3mil - which would have meant he’d have in effect handed his father’s money to someone else for little added value to himself.
He successfully attracted funding, but mostly not from his dad. Sorry to burst your bubble.

As an aside, his father is worth about $10mil max, which isn’t a huge amount in the grander scheme of things - not that it really matters though given that as per my point above he wouldn’t have received more than a sliver of it.
