I assume champions league won’t be impacted mid week, but wouldn’t be surprised if next weekends fixtures get cancelled too.

If anyone starts talking cricket in this thread i’m remobilising the IRA.
Amps Intending to boycott the World Cup and not watch any of it, but might start early and boycott us until the new year.
My plan was to watch a film every time England play instead of watch them, and possibly when any decent matches were on that I fancied, basically Brazil or Germany vs anyone…

Cancelling the football appears to have been a bit premature. Could be a risk of losing next weekend too due to the funeral.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Still, seems to be keeping The Gremlin quieter so ‘every cloud’ and all that.
Mad_Cyril It was a stupid decision to cancel the games. If they’d gone ahead it could have a great celebration of her life with hundreds of thousands of fans attending games up and down the country.
Unfortunately this is England so the reaction is a pretentious, melodramatic, self indulgent performative mourn-fest with everyone trying to out grieve each other.
At least the cricket is on.
SM001 wonder what percentage of the country’s population care that much about her death… 20% maybe? Most of us have probably thought “ok that’s sad, let’s move on”…. Massive overreaction to cancel these games… although one theory was that, if they hadn’t, the scousers wouldn’t have observed/respected any silence or the national anthem.
