Good one on the Guardian: ‘Alexander-Arnold has a right peg that could unlock Fort Knox’

Unlike Smallman’s famous left peg…

Amps Think I’ve already said this some weeks back, but, would anyone be surprised if they have heard they’re getting kicked out the league? Not that I have any faith in the Prem to regulate itself in any way, shape or form, but it would explain the hideous body language from them.

I’d been wondering similar considering the conclusion of the FFP hearing has been occurring at the same time as this has been going on. Their collective drop-off is beyond what could be explained from just missing Rodri.

Not sure it means they already know what their punishment will be, or that it definitely will be getting kicked out the league, but they could have got wind of the writing being on the wall one way or another with how the hearing went.

A rare lucid post from Amps regardless.

When Amorim came in, Utd already had a set-piece specialist coach formerly or Brentford and Arsenal who they’d only recently hired, but he’s been sidelined in favour of Amorim’s man who currently appears inept at it.

If Amorim doesn’t sort that mess out it could end up costing him his job.

hugopal You’d have been better off sticking with Baldy. At least he had a plan!

bosstrabs Any thoughts about Zirkzee Hugo?

    Strong trans trabs game

    A lovely day of football

alistair the suggestion here that the player and his agent have had no baring on proceedings at all.

Amps It should been sorted much earlier. If he wasn’t prepared to re-sign, he should have been put up for sale. Risking an £80m plus asset going for free is on the club

To be fair to Liverpool they couldn’t just throw money at Salah as their 2 next best players are waiting in the wings to for new contracts too.
If they gave Salah a bumper contract then VVD and TAA would be expecting the same.

alistair probably about priorities and right now I think we need VVD and Salah more than Trent. We will lose out on one of the best long ball passers in the world, but he is an average defender and Bradley looks like a decent replacement.

Plus next season we need to replace Nunez as he is shit, so should spend money on keeping Salah. And VVD is much more important to us that Trent

RichM just buy Isak, absolute rolls Royce in the finishing department

Why would Newcastle sell their best player?

They’re well-funded and on the up.

bosstrabs because he wants to play European football at the top level?

Think Trent will do well at Real Madrid.

          A good move for him.

          • Amps replied to this.

Matheus Cunha should be banned already for his shenanigans against Ipswich, but of course the FA have dallied until after his game against Man Utd to give out the punishment - so he’ll be nailed on to score today.

              bosstrabs

We can’t buy without selling due to PSR rules.

Isak (and Guimaeres) is one of our best so he’d fetch a massive penny but I doubt he’s replaceable without spending equal amount of bucks so it wouldn’t free up funds anyway.

Smallman1 I know you’re fishing, but if he goes, I reckon he’d be back in a year; he’s the next Rush / Owen / Torres.

Amps I reckon he would do well at Madrid, could see him fitting well into that team

Can see it now, hard life without Big Virg next to him, so they stick him in midfield, but it doesn’t work out, because, he’s not a midfielder, and then he realises their league is a load of old shite and the milf supplied lemo is Hugo grade crap. One way ticket to the John Lennon Chicken Shed please!
