However I don’t get the impression he has lived up to £115m Chelsea paid for him, and not heard much about him being one of the best players in the PL. At that much money he should be talked about a lot more as an amazing player.

So tell me, why do you think he has lived up to his transfer fee? (Which is what this topic is about)

RichM He’s our number 2 player behind Palmer and he’s not far behind him. Even your guy MacAllister said he’s the toughest opponent he’s played against in the premier league - more than Ballon D’Or winner Rodri. Plus Scholes said he’s dogshit, so he must be world class. I guess it depends on what you rely when you say he should be talked about more as an amazing player, because there have been many comments in the past from more trustworthy pundits, current and old players about it. Or you could just watch the games and make the judgement yourself.

The price tag was partly due to his age and potential. Is he as good as Kante was? No, but he’s younger and he could be. Calling him a pound shop Kante is crazy though. We’re definitely happy with him and let’s see what happens next season.

Hursty seems like it’s serious consideration according to the rumours. TBH the team have been so shit why wouldn’t he take someone on a free and see if they are slightly better. Assuming this would be an add on to whatever their transfer plans are. However knowing Utd, they will sign him as their main striker this season!
