It was awful.
So much hyperbole about players putting in “mammoth efforts” during a piss-poor final, like professional footballers have never played over 90 minutes before.
Birds don’t have a fucking clue about football. The commentator on BBC said “great challenge” when actually a Spanish player just cut off an attacking player (I can’t be arsed remembering their names) in the box with a blatant obstruction.
I was also pissed off at another stupid comment that was something like “if we are going on pure determination, though, England win this”. It was a turgid game with England outclassed pretty much everywhere.
England’s keeper Hannah whatever was world class, though (by birds’ standards) and she won it almost singlehandedly.
