Mad_Cyril the upper echelons of the club aren’t capable of executing a well thought out strategy. Fact is United had plenty of scope to be opportunistic and recruit the right manager when he was available. But they’re slow and clearly don’t like making difficult decisions.
It’s pretty clear though that the longer Solskjaer stays, player legend as he may be, the worse morale will get and the higher the probability of a mass exodus of talent.
I think it’s arrogant to say Conte wasnt the right man …. who is then?! He could have come in and done a job for a couple of years and achieved results…. That would have been a way better outcome than what we’re left with - a slow steady rot… the idea that we will find Jesus and he will be manager for the next twenty years, playing attractive football, developing young talent, winning trophies… get real
