Amps I’m assuming Henderson was carrying an injury as he was non existent; good to see Jones imposing himself on the game a fair bit.
Amps Well done Leeds, I know we where a bit shit, but that attitude will see them do okay this season. We need to get up through the gears, Chelsea will be a much harder game next week.
Hursty Hursty So I got the Liverpool score right, just forgot we’ve decided to stop defending this year!
alistair Salah was sublime tonight. He carried the team tonight. Leeds were excellent. We can’t keep on indulging Bobbie. He’s a striker. FFS score
alistair Amps Sure, he just creates so much space but at times he can be so so clumsy on the ball. That chance he had towards the end, what the fuck? He didn’t fancy trying to beat the keeper he wanted to beat the defender as well, just slot it in!
Amps Old-Dutch Cheers. Just trying to work out if Vardy can be top goal scorer again at 33 years old… 19/1 on Betfair.
Amps Old-Dutch Also tempted to have an outside bet on Chelsea for the title just because the odds are good and the world is mad as fuck.
baggers44 I’ve just about recovered from the Liverpool Leeds match. Salah destroyed us and looks unplayable - we were a bit naive at the back but with a debutant and a teenage CM as centre back it was always going to be a challenge and a half. But we went for it and will keep on madly attacking and playing out from the back and will probably be ok when the new signings bed in. Possibly. What is amazing is that players like Ayling, Klich and Phillips who 2 years ago might never have thought they would be anything but journeyman Championship players can now hold arguably hold their own at this level. A testament to the power of self improvement and the perceptiveness of the coach who saw things in them that others did not, not even themselves perhaps.
