I honestly think part of the problem with the English is the pessimistic support. ’Football’s coming home, but they’re shit’ has been a common theme amongst my English mates for the thirty odd years I’ve known them.
Southgate’s tactics might not be the most popular when you take into account the high pressing style of the most successful sides in world football today, but they’ve been pretty effective. He’s gotten you further along in tournaments than you’ve been in decades.
Math was never my subject of excellence. English, history and phys-ed were. I’m an arts and sports guy who can’t count.
Get the fuck in Brentford! Not a Premier League fan per say, but it’s always nice seeing David take down Goliath in matches you could care less about.
