alistair A WC is always fun. Everybody talks about it at work, at home, in the pubs etc. The premier league was tedious, the football quality was poor and Sunday feels like a complete anti climax.

alistair SM001 I am not a fan of the tournament’s expansion but handpicking first round matches to try to make a point is flawed. The interminable group stage CL matches are a predominantly tedious watch but by the same token, the knock out games will be pure drama and on another level to the boring shite served up by Arsenal et al. The last WC final was fucking brilliant. The global nature of the WC and it being on terrestrial also amps up the whole event. You’re just salty that ROI didn’t make it!
