By the way, the United fans on here are a measured bunch. Shame the lads who used to give it out to all and sundry during the glory years have disappeared when the shit hit the fan
General Football Nonsense
Ronaldo joining United or any other big team was always, 100% going to affect the dressing room. The guy has a bigger ego than, Ed! Wether that effect is negative or positive is down to management.
alistair because Giggs, Kanchelskis, Beckham and Co. gave up when Cantona walked through the door.

Not sure you can draw parallels there, Scott.
Cantona wasn’t almost 37 or earning £500k a week for a start.
His aura was also nowhere near that of Ronaldo

ScottBailey See where you’re going with this but how old was Cantona when he walked through the door? Moreover, he was a troubled but talented misfit not a 37 year old five time ballon d’or winner
alistair Moreover, he was a troubled but talented misfit that Leeds wanted rid of
For shagging Lee Sharpe’s wife. Lol
Lol, right you are.

If it was Ole’s signing, I’d agree. To be fair to him - he’s tried to integrate Ronaldo to the detriment of the way the team were working previously
The whole club is a complete clusterfuck.
Long may it continue
Old-Dutch If it was Ole’s signing, I’d agree.
Irrelevant. Makes no difference if it was Ole’s signing or not. Look at how Real Madrid have operated for years. The higher ups bought the players and it was up to the manager to integrate/coach them.
Old-Dutch he’s tried to integrate Ronaldo to the detriment of the way the team were working previously
Is that Ronaldo’s fault? I’d say that’s down to the manager. Easier said than done obvs.

Look at Real now. And Barcelona.
It smacks of a desperate move for a quick fix. And shows. It was get Ronaldo at any cost so Citeh don’t
Not Ronaldo’s fault. But the club in general is having an almighty reg
I would like my local club to remain as close to the values it held when I was growing up as is possible in the present.
Not demand success and knee jerk decisions whilst acting like a spoilt child.
That’s all.
The downs are as important as the ups, success isn’t guaranteed for anyone.
A lot of hot air over a match that no United fan should have realistically expected to win.
As for Conte, why he went to Spurs when Levy’s purse strings are tighter than a nun on Sunday I don’t know… He may have been promised 150m for one year of transfers, but good luck next year on that. Will be good to see him publicly giving Levy shit about it in the media though.
Real Madrid are a club that have taken the absolute fucking piss whenever it comes to FFP and it has finally caught up with them. They, and Barcelona, have got away with too much shit for way too long.
As clubs, they have traded on their name and history, paying well over the odds for players and their salaries because they could. Yes, it brought success for a long time. There aren’t many clubs out there who had the money and the clout to pull in the players they could.
Long term it is no way to manage a football club and it is now biting them in the arse. Good enough for them imo.
Would Real ever have appointed Ole as a manager?
This is a great post and admirable. Too many football fans believe they have the right to be in contention for everything. It’s a plague perpetuated by the ‘big’ clubs. “We deserve better than this and them, because we are…”

BlainSA A lot of hot air over a match that no United fan should have realistically expected to win.
Pretty much. In terms of goals for and against, the result is better than i expected.

The week before, he was flashing his Calvin’s at us. He was just after some work. Any work. As long as it paid.
