The sums don’t add up. If you put Trent in midfield, you have to sacrifice one of the creative players already there.
I’d rather have two creative midfielders plus a roaming Trent at right back, than two creative midfielders that includes Trent, and a non creative Gomes at right back.
When we won everything not long ago it was total football, and Trent was at right back. He just needs a little more licence / partnerships, not a positional move. More creative players on the pitch, not less.
