Jules72 Being an owner of a sports team is a prestige token thing for the ultra rich and gets the owners into social circles they otherwise wouldn’t be able to access. I’ve said before, Jeff Bezos had Amazon Prime video as a loss for years purely because it got him invited to hollywood parties. Same deal. The Glazers get the cultural cachet of owning a sports team and they get into sporting elite style places they otherwise wouldn’t be able to. And get 20m dividends for the priviledge.

Interesting analysis that. What baffles me is that clubs like Man U don’t seem to learn from past mistakes. Look at Liverpool, they buy players who fit their style, so are likely to be successful and improve the team.

Utd just buy players and hope they somehow fit into the team. No strategy or plan there at all. And in this instance paying an absolute fortune in wages for him.

As a Liverpool fan clearly this is all fantastic stuff to watch. Just hope Utd don’t pull a miracle on Monday and beat us

Nothing better than talking for the rest of the board without any actual consent and then calling others mentally ill ! By everyone you actually mean you. You’re just pissed it’s unitard on the receiving. Otherwise you’d be saying absolutely fuck all. If it’s not such a problem then just ignore it. You’re the only one with his knickers in twist over it anyway. Everyone else just takes it on the chin and gives it back, you start crying and taking it personally which is great because all it does is makes me want to do it even more.
