bosstrabs Hugo, most UK keyboards don’t have umlauts.
I type using a UK keyboard - you don’t need an umlaut on it, you just hold down the ‘u’ button then select the umlauted version. It’s also easy to do the same when typing on your phone. You can also copy + paste the already typed form from a wiki search.
