RichM why not play to his strengths and stick him in midfield rather than weaken the defence by keeping him where he is.
Because we would be weakening our defence in midfield, something that has been integral to Klopp’s style of play. We ask a lot of our midfielders (hence they’re all fucked), and I don’t think Trent is up to the task in all those departments. Better he is kept in defence with the support around him there, when we’re collectively playing well he has more than enough influence on the game. We have a team issue at the moment, not a Trent issue, it’s just that the issues / current shitness makes some players look worse than others.
