There’s a stat somewhere about the effectiveness of players in different leagues - how players stats transfer from one league to another across the top 5 European leagues.
Interestingly Serie A to Prem was around 40% drop, and same the other way.
In comparison to the other leagues players effectiveness ranked as follows, top being easiest league to put in good numbers
Serie A
Bundesliga
Ligue 1
La Liga
Prem
Pogba was great in the Italian league, allegedly.
On average, across players who played in both Italy and Prem, their stats were roughly 40% better.
The he was good in Italy arguments don’t wash. His general fitness and performance show he’s not suited to play in England. Sporting shite without context is just moronic.
