I think there’s usually a round of international matches scheduled straight after the end of the season.
For some teams it’s not friendlies, there are still World Cup qualifiers going on.
Hursty can’t be good for their recovery playing these games… absurdly timed competition. Still, iirc England only have 2 games in the run up to the WC after these games
