Think I miss gigs even more than clubbing. Their absence during COVID has left a gaping hole in my social calendar.
Thought I’d while away some time by giving a top five list in no particular order. This list is fairly fluid depending on my memory. Yours?

Radiohead - Roundhouse 2016
Prodigy - Brixton academy 2005
NIN - The Forum 1994
Kraftwerk 3D - Royal Albert Hall 2017
QOTSA - Brixton Academy 2005

In no particular order:

Doves, Brixton Academy, 2009
James, Brixton Academy, 1991
Billy Bragg, Shepherds Bush Empire, 2008

Never saw New Order in their pomp, wish I had…first saw them at Old Trafford in 2002. ..i’m sure Strummer will have some better ones than that along with Grant

alistair Underworld are like New Order, seen them so many times - spangdanggled every time.

Forgot to mention Oasis, Astoria, 1994 - some gig that. I fucking hate Oasis.

alistair Underworld are such a great live act. Their Ally Pally gig in 2017 was very memorable. Finished with Rez, Cowgirl, Moaner and Born Slippy.

Saw them at Village Underground about 18 months ago, 700 or so people and they blew the bloody doors off.

        Un be lievable Jeff.

        alistair
It was a postponed gig from about 3m earlier…called off on the night… so Trent was very apologetic but also very angry because the venue couldn’t fit in some of their backdrop. No support and they tore the place apart for over 2hrs

        Lcd soundsystem - tripod dublin
The verve - the point dublin 98

I’m sure I’ve missed a few some foggy memories in there

        Too many to mention.

Of the last few years, Jeans Team, The Buzzcocks and The Vaccines in Beijing, great atmosphere for all of them.

My favourite live act were Crystal Castles; Alice Glass was nuts. Also saw them so many times I couldn’t really pick just one instance.

Act I’m most disappointed never to have seen live are The Prodigy, I was unfortunately too young when they were in their prime.

        Has anyone seen Anklepants live?
