Really good this guys. Possibly the best user-submitted mix I’ve listened to on jaded clubbers.

Not too much plodding tech-house, instead with plenty of more trancey-leaning stuff. A good blend of classic era tracks. Decent tempo, even managing to push beyond 130 - more of this please!

“LSG - Netherworld (Alex Remix) [Hooj Choons]” - is this really an original remix by @Wasily ?

I do also have to ask, was ‘Paraleven feat. Bien et Toi - Tidal Wave (Stephan Jolk Remix)’ - a pick by @ScottBailey ?

Thanks for the listen and the kind words. No, this track was not me. So the running order this time was Me/@Wasily/@baggers44 (2×2×2) throughout. Think Alex got a 3 in ar the end as he did his own mix/mashed including LSG.

hugopal LOL. I made a strong push for the first 4 tracks to be cut from the final edit as I thought the flow would work better starting with Rolasoul - Lost In Power (Dub Mix) [Plastic Fantastic] and going from there but was overruled by the SB and the DFOD.

Depends on what you mean by ‘original remix’. I wanted to get Netherworld into a mix but the versions I had didn’t fit well so created a bridging track using AI to extract the synth and adding the sample from Mad Professor:

After that I extracted the drum section from the previous track, overlaid the synth and added the vocal with a bit of Manny M reverb/delay and a gate. Then added some low end FX, cymbals, and my own drum section leading up to the second vocal sample to bridge it into the DC Salas - El Juego [RAND Muzik] track, so I haven’t got a fully structured track at the end- just a 3 minute bridge.

Ah okay, so it’s @Wasily I have to criticise this time for throwing in a bed-wetting male vocal… though thankfully it’s early on in the mix and brief enough that it doesn’t detract too much from the rest. 😅

Impressive stuff though and clearly a lot of effort goes into it.

This has been on my list to do a full start to finish listen in one go, and based on Hugo’s great review, will get on it this weekend when out walking

Ha, would have been a wise decision. No biggie though, I can just skip to 17 mins in.

So the ‘Negen’ track already has a vibe surprisingly reminiscent of ‘Netherworld’. It does all work well together; good stuff.
