@ScottBailey very kind words. It’s been a great year getting this off the ground. Lots of ideas for 2026 but really a question of where to take it from here. Interested to gauge peoples thoughts, as ultimately the event is the result of the JC community.
- We feel like another named DJ on the bill would be good. Obviously we’d want to keep Nick on the bill every time as he’s our “headliner resident” but would be an interesting dynamic getting say a Danny H, Darren Emerson, Pete Heller on the bill too. Feel like the venue still has a bit more to give capacity wise, so could handle another 50-75 people. Question of economics though……not sure we could stretch to Zabs yet!
-Timings - we’ve toyed with the idea of changing from 7pm-1am. Maybe starting earlier/ending sooner? I’m still a bit sentimental about “nightlife” and what happens after dark. Keeping that vibe going etc. We could start an hour earlier to get another DJ on the bill which would be good. There always seems to be people out and about from 5pm in Shoreditch.
-Location - love the H&G but there’s always a tendency with promoting to look at other venues and adopt a grass is greener attitude. I’ve worked with so many bar managers/owners who as utter twats, so it’s very refreshing we have a great relationship with the H&G. They are such sound people. We are continually trying to tweak things in there and they are very accomodating. I’m a fcking nightmare on that front truth be told !! Plus we always have the option of doing the whole 2 floors if things really take off/another promoter wants to run upstairs
- One off specials. We are in the process negotiating a beachfront venue in Devon for a one off summer special. If it comes off with be superb, as its a run by an old Uni mate and beautiful. Inside/outside areas and a view to die for. Plus there is always the option of a boat party down the line.
So lots of stuff in the pipeline but feel free to suggest things too. What me and Grant see might be a lot different to what you see on the floor.
Finally, a massive thanks for the support and coming along rain or shine!!
