Roll Deep and Flowdan were pioneers of grime, and since then he’s basically been focused on, and considered, a grime MC. How is he described in his recent interviews? “MC and grime pioneer Flowdan”, “grime icon Flowdan”. What music does his record label put out? “what draws me to an artist is mainly if they’re talented and they’re doing grime”.
Dave trying to refer to Flowdan as a “garage MC” instead of a “grime” one, is basically as meaningless and outdated as if he were to refer to Sasha as an “italo house DJ” rather than a “progressive” one.
