Funky EVs aren’t going to save the planet, not will a change in how your clothes are made, at least not much impact on their own, but, it’s a fair point you make; if you want the most bang for your buck you’d protest against China’s use of concreate… but that’s a little tricky from over here in Blighty. So, how the fuck can you apply pressure on a foreign government? Well, using your own analogy of, only willing to listen to the folk who are living self sustainable, maybe they will only listen to countries who are putting their money where their mouth is and leading by example with a green economy? So, if protestors can make a change here, maybe we can effect a change there. It’s a fuckin long shot, but what else can anyone here do? You expect people to just bend over and take it?
Also, to anyone worried their sport is getting disrupted, don’t be such a fuckin snowflake.
And, the idea that you would only listen to someone living a life of perfect sustainability is a nonsense, and a way or excusing yourself. Perfection within a broken system is impossible. People’s inconsistency doesn’t invalidate their right to try and change something.
