I’m living in an area on the coast that has a huge Bosnian influence, which is most welcome as they are generally on the ball and good craic and their cuisine is world class. If there are any genuine places close by to you I would highly recommend.
I was at a rustic outdoor place on the beach last night and watched a full pig cook over a fire, sat at a table with what seemed like a hundred small dishes which were all incredible, one of which called Soka was really good with the briney meat. Dozens of Boreks, potato, spinach, mince, salty cheese. All washed down with Ouzo (Lesbos is 15km from here). More hearty than Turkish food and just as fresh.
I did go to a Bosnian place in the old town of Dubrovnik years ago and it always stuck in my mind. They know how to eat those Balkan lads.
