mono-stereo benson it’s a great way to take the other half out for some techno. As they’re clearing the tables “no idea what’s happening here love”
Millsy Smallman1 used to have lunch there a lot. Loved the table carving thing they did, and the beef wellington was boss. Sat next to Jon Snow of channel 4 news once too.
hugopal Smallman1 KLANG Does merely sitting next to someone count as a ‘klang’?! I swear I’ve seen people on here question if even having had a few conversations with people is worthy of a klang. /klangweeds
Millsy He slipped me his Savoy room key and whispered awooga in my ear before riding off on his Bickerton.
hugopal I once saw Jon Snow at a Pret a Manger in Farringdon during a lunch break. Not quite as glamourous.
bosstrabs Right, we’re doing ‘I once saw someone in real life’ now are we? I once saw Thierry Henry at Anfield, stood on the left wing very close to where I was sitting. I could have touched him if I’d had three snooker cues gaffer-taped together.
bosstrabs I saw Bono at Roundhay Park in Leeds in 1997, singing on a sort of massive stage. It was mad! Didn’t speak to him.
Millsy I once saw Hawthorne (Warren Derosa) from Hollyoaks coming out of Tiger Tiger near Leicester Square. I shouted ‘oi, Hawthorne, you cunt’ and he turned and waved. I never saw him, or Hollyoaks, again.
Smallman1 You’re not going to bloody believe this Millsy but he was at a funeral I was at last Christmas. He is painfully dull though tbf the occasion was hardly calling out for electric bants.
