Not a big fan of the ole steak tartare but I shall give it a whirl.

Hold tight for feedback!

Looks dreadful Bens, not a big fan of the old tasting menu concept.

Each to their own, but the very term wine flight makes me want to smash some fucker in the face.

Mad_Cyril Generally my view. But it was decent portions and decent food. Nice to try a few different wines.

But yes, in general I prefer an a la carte

Fair play. Glad it turned out well 👍

I’m a bit grumbly about the food market at the moment, especially instagram chancers / food markets.

      Must be my age!

Smallman1 could you ask them why they called themselves North China? The menu is the same big standard English Chinese takeaway you see across the whole of the U.K. nothing North Chinese about it, unless the toffee apple and banana is the north Chinese element on the menu

        Smallman1 Peking classics

Is this a euphemism for prostitutes?

RichM I have already pointed this out to CLOTH-EARED CUNT Edward Smallman, who still insists that it’s good.

Most of the dishes, such as Mapo Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken and so on look to be Sichuan, with a smattering of Jiangsu and Guangdong dishes. All definitely southern Chinese in origin.

Peking Duck is obviously northern, but every fucking Chinese restaurant has Peking Duck - and it’s never as good as Da Dong or Siji Minfu in Beijing.

“The best Chinese I have every had! Every dish was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Fresh white table cloths and fantastic service. Can’t wait to go back!”

Not my words, the words of Ashleigh Thompson a month ago.
