Salt Bae - “Cappuccinoooo”
A far cry from the Savoy Grill.
I endured a McDonald’s triple cheeseburger yesterday….I felt like I’d been raped afterwards.
McDonalds are launching a McPlant burger on the 13th October. I never went to McDonalds often when I eat meat, but am looking forward to that.
Dan At least you didn’t pay £100 for it! Or did you?
This Salt Bae business, 700 quid for a steak. I’ve been to some posh restaurants in my time, but I don’t ever remember seeing a main for more then a couple of hundred quid anywhere.
I do wonder if this might embolden other ultra “high end” places to really start upping prices, as clearly there’s a market for it.
Along_the_Wire It’ll still be 500+ calories.
mono-stereo suppose if you can afford to pay that much money for food, there’s no level of regret at literally flushing it down the toilet the next day. For me though………..

Lol!
Had another bash at a Turkish, this time in Beijing. Was a big improvement on that Shanghai gaff. Will be a regular here I think…

Along_the_Wire you tried the veggie burgers at Bleecker burger in London? They are superb, was produced by a chef who runs some decent meat /bbq restaurants in london, who wanted to make the best tasting plant based burger. I eat meat, but would happily eat these ones.
RichM funnily enough, I saw one in Victoria a couple of weeks ago - they didn’t have a vegan option on their menu. Is this a very new addition?
Along_the_Wire think they have been doing them about a year now. Can also order them as meal kits to make at home https://shop.bleecker.co.uk/product/2-double-cheeseburgers-2-symplicity-burgers/
Did you try a doner with extra chilli sauce Dave?
