Went for Chargrilled Cornish Squid cucumber, fennel, basil and sea buckthorn, vinaigrette followed by “Fish and chips” Dover sole with lobster mousse, mushy peas and triple cooked chips. Wife did the potato menu and chose Anna’s with smoked crème fraiche and chives to accompany her bit. Honestly, I thought it was a bit overpriced and gimmicky- having the choice of 7 vinegars with my chips is all fine and well, but I’m not really a massive fan of vinegar to start off with, and with wine ended up paying over £300 for what was basically a high end bistro menu. Tasty but I won’t be back in a hurry.

Smallman1 There’s a lot of pretty similar high end casual dining along the likes of Mountain, Fallow, Town/ Motorino, Straker’s, Dorian etc. I’d put Town up there in terms of enjoyment but there’s nothing hugely ground breaking about it.
