Gordon Bants?
mono-stereo well played
mono-stereo Gordon Bants?
Yes Mono!
Millsy Eric Bantona there.
Yep!
A nice ChiBanti ftw though.
Genuinely world class that.
OLB doffs his cap.
Ottolenghi… was a little suspicious - never heard anything good or bad about Israeli food.. but the food here is incredible…. Middle Eastern but with a twist. Will definitely revisit. Distancing was shite though - there was no way i was going to sit practically 1.5m diagonally opposite a stranger.. fck me this country is stupid.
Jules72 did it get you the required outcome 😁
Jules72 Agree its nice grub! I get Deliveroo from the Notting Hill one to avoid the issue.
Just done Mere for lunch in Charlotte Street. I can swear prices have doubled since COVID. 3 course lunch with my wife with 2 glasses of wine: £270. Its a nice restaurant but for a lunch I’d (perhaps naively) be expecting something just over the £100 mark.
Mad_Cyril actually got a free mezze for my whining 😀… I’m well beyond Ed’s third base with my new woman MC 👍
Wasily has good reviews - will see if the girlfriend knows it.. Ottolenghi was only 85 quid for 2 (no wine) - maybe I got a whining bastard discount eh 😂…
Wasily where do you live Wasily?
Jules72 Bayswater

Never been but my sis got me one of their cookbooks. Worked out well as I try to not eat meat during the week and their recipes are good for that.
Went to The Ivy (the Leeds one) for lunch. It was very tasty. Given that everything will probably be shut for a while come Monday, I even had dessert
OLB, top tip for you, next time you go out, insist on any chicken dish being made of a BANTAM CHICKEN.
I always request it, and if they haven’t got any, I insist the chef comes and has 15 minutes tableside BANTZ with me as a substitute.
Will do Dave.
Aquavit - Sweden restaurant around Piccadilly… comfort food like meatballs and the like… very tasty and well executed.
We finished a couple of bottles of Raki and had a feed fit for a king here last night. What a place, food was incredible.

Tremenballs.
Jules72 Yeah every now and then is the way to do it, last one I had was over a month ago. Although the kebap was shared by 6 towards the end of the meal, it’s all about the mezze and salads, içli köfte, lahmacun etc Before any of the meat.
Could easily live off Turkish food for the rest of my life if I had to.
Wonderful cuisine.
