Aquavit - Sweden restaurant around Piccadilly… comfort food like meatballs and the like… very tasty and well executed.
We finished a couple of bottles of Raki and had a feed fit for a king here last night. What a place, food was incredible.

Tremenballs.
Jules72 Yeah every now and then is the way to do it, last one I had was over a month ago. Although the kebap was shared by 6 towards the end of the meal, it’s all about the mezze and salads, içli köfte, lahmacun etc Before any of the meat.
Could easily live off Turkish food for the rest of my life if I had to.
Wonderful cuisine.
Would love to kitchen sink it up in Istanbul too.
LT42 yeah agree with that… went to one of the top Turkish restaurants in London a month back and they didn’t serve Mezes… plain wrong although the quality is never going to be up there with Istanbul
LT42 The problem with Turkish is those i characters they have without the dot, proper does my head in,
Went to The Glasshouse in Kew last night - haven’t been for years and don’t really know why - it was excellent, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. The wine list was superb too. Worth making the trip down for definite if your in London.
Menu looks ace!

Smallman1
“An optional 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill”
I don’t understand. They add it to the bill but you can ask to have it taken off?
Si and MC, if you need any help understanding it, just let know.
Cheers!
Why did dave Edna ever-reg like this post? Is this supposed to be an example of the “bants” these two mumble about relentlessly?
Thanks Ed, we’ve just finished a Zoom meeting and think we have it covered.
I do, however, have some windows that need licking. You seem well qualified?
LOL @ ‘Pineapple financier’
Lol, caught my eye that!
‘Roasted pillock’ - isn’t that you after you post on here and someone replies, Smallman?
It’s Roasted Pollock Dave but I like what you did there.
They’d obviously corrected it for last night it was pineapple carpaccio. I had the tuna to start, then a monkfish tandoori and cheese to finish.
-si- why not like it? There are slim pickings to like from Ed Smallman so a pat on the head from time to time does no harm
-si- you can have a lol for Dave Edna Ever Reg, si. Decent craic that. Keep it up!
Like the sound of the monkfish tandoori.
