I’m not that fussed, honestly. I have worked in many bars and restaurants over the years. Played softball with the head of inspections (yeah, yeah, joke away - it was a favor to a friend) and he told me stories. Most places are fucking gross and cut corners wherever they can. I don’t stress off it.
Now this one Dim Sum place in Chinatown in Oakland got shut down for 90 days to clean up their filth. THAT must’ve been bad. Like a dead deer carcass in the back or something. Working for the health department, we’re pretty forgiving as long as you act in good faith. 90 days….wowsers. They did a have excellent pork buns, mind. God only know what was in them.
