It is about 30bpm higher than anything which doesn’t offend the ears of most the codgers on here.

LT42 a few years after the event I was still able to hear recorded sets like his Live @ Zen Afterparty and Live @ Amnesia Essential Mix, which have lots of floaty but driving Harthouse/Platipus/early PvD/Oliver Lieb type stuff.

The last Anetha mix/podcast I heard even included an old Oliver Lieb track in there (‘Pollenflug’ from 1998 on Platipus) and it’s hard not to hear such influences in the above track.

LT42 it doesn’t sound that far from PvD ‘Words’, but with more of a ‘Subraumstimulation’ type low-end and a more stripped-down structure.

You can argue about quality, and don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that the Anetha track is a modern classic or anything, but it’s a good tune and that vibe is there.

Also, Berlin in 96 would have been Love Parade/E-Werk as well as, say, Tresor?

hugopal At the time we were playing stuff like Way Out West/Tribal Label material. In the main room it was banging 150bpm stuff. Likes of Garnier/Cox/Trevor Rockcliffe were on most of the flyers. Not too sure where the warehouse was 🤔. The German crowd just didn’t get the big breaks in the tracks.

Russian Mafia ran everything from the door to the restaurants we ate in.

zackster yeah I did much prefer the Seismic Dance Event set I posted the other week. It seems she was going a bit more ambient/experimental at the beginning, perhaps because of the setting being on an alternative streaming platform as opposed to peak-time at a club, but then it was a bit sloppy and took until halfway to really get going. The new Vladimir Dubyshkin track at 28 sounded good though.
