Missed this thread first time round, but on topic:

When a kid, my family literally ventured to “the wrong side of the tracks” from Muswell Hill to go to the Pizza Hut in Wood Green (this was in the era when they’d just launched the stuffed crust).

Anyway, the pizza was fine for a kid who just wanted a fast food kinda pizza, but while we were there two young blokes started arguing with the waiting staff and refusing to pay. For some reason the argument escalated to the point where the two blokes started throwing chairs at, and eventually smashing, the floor-to-ceiling windows between the restaurant and the street, then pegged it leaving a trail of their own blood.

Needless to say we never ate in a restaurant in Wood Green again.
