If you want to get in to the weeds and be pedantic about it, then what he actually said was:
First sentence: “Who is rocking what this season?” - given the thread title, this would appear to be a reference to the season of Winter. Considering the thread title is “Winter jackets”, then the sentence would appear to be Amps effectively asking: “Who is rocking what [jacket] this [Winter]?”
Second sentence: “My snowboard jacket has given up the ghost, so it’s time for a new one.” - Given the first sentence seemed to reference Winter jackets more broadly, the implication here could just be that Amps had been wearing his snowboard jacket as his day-to-day Winter jacket, but now that his snowboard jacket is kaput he needs to find another jacket to replace it for Winter use. The “new one” could be a reference to Winter jacket more broadly, as opposed to specifically a snowboard jacket.
Third sentence: “I can’t quite bring myself to spunk the money on an Acronym one” - Acronym don’t actually make dedicated ski/snowboard jackets, so considering Amps would like one if he could afford it, this reinforces the idea that Amps is rather looking for a more general Winter jacket.
Also third sentence: “I’m taking suggestions, serious or otherwise” - Amps clearly here welcomes suggestions which are non-serious, i.e. daft, or jokes. So even if he was specifically looking for a snowboard jacket, then a joke suggesting a daft type of jacket he could wear still fits within the remit of what he was originally asking for.
Finally, I don’t suppose there are any laws which state you can’t wear a Klopp-style Liverpool jacket while snowboarding, even though it may be impractical and you’d look like a nob.
